Pozíció leírása / Job descriptionAs a Category Manager you will be responsible for managing specific categories of direct materials, supporting the development of procurement strategies, and driving category strategies through the procurement team. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills and a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical supply chain.
- Secure and drive supply of direct materials for manufacturing and R&D
- Manage end-to-end procurement of assigned direct material categories, including spend analysis, supplier management, risk assessment, contract negotiation, and relationship building.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for direct material issues within your responsibility
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to proactively resolve supply challenges
- Independently understand and address global stakeholder needs for assigned categories
- Lead sourcing and onboarding of new materials and suppliers
- Initiate, manage, and support cost savings and efficiency projects globally and locally
- Negotiate and implement contracts and amendments
- Monitor, evaluate, and improve supplier performance
Approximately 4 years of experience in the manufacturing industry with a focus on supply chain management and procurement of direct materials. Experience with raw materials management, manufacturing, quality assurance, continuous improvement, and budgeting is essential.
