Our partner is looking for a Financial Reporting Specialist with a strong background in financial reporting, accounting, or IFRS compliance. The successful candidate will ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial reports, maintain data integrity in the core reporting system, and collaborate with various stakeholders to optimize reporting processes.
Pozíció leírása / Job description- Lead the preparation of external and internal financial reports, including IFRS-based consolidated (interim) financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Collect, consolidate, and validate financial and non-financial data, maintaining a structured and controlled reporting process.
- Drive quality assurance by ensuring compliance with IFRS, SOX, SEC, and other relevant regulations while proactively identifying areas for improvement.
- Safeguard data integrity by optimizing financial reporting processes, leveraging automation, and enhancing efficiency.
- Oversee tick & tie activities, ensuring all financial reports are accurate, consistent, and error-free.
- Maintain and strengthen internal control frameworks (SOX controls), ensuring financial reporting processes are robust and reliable.
- Partner with external auditors, providing essential documentation and fostering a professional and collaborative relationship.
- Work closely with local business units to align IFRS reporting with Aegon's standards and maintain high-quality financial data.
- Support and guide local finance teams during period closings, ensuring smooth operations, compliance, and financial accuracy.
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry.
- Strong understanding and application of IFRS accounting principles.
- Experience in an international/multinational environment.
- Hands-on financial reporting experience, preferably with multi-dimensional reporting tools (e.g., Tagetik). Experience with Power BI is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and spoken).
